These pictures are from ourlast stop in Montana. We had to find a bathroom and found a little gas and tire station. Ash had been wanting to rotate the tires on the trailer because they were getting worn fast from the heavy load, high temps in the states and from probably driving too fast. So we were able to rotate the tires for $10 and this playground was nearby for me and the kids to stretch out and play. It was a great little park with this orange tractor and a merry-go-round. The grass was brilliantly green and soft and covered in clover. This was a sweet blessing of a break.
And now we are in Valleyview-- hours north of Edmonton. We had intended to stop in Edmonton to play at the huge mall there (indoor water amusement park) but we couldn't find a hotel. "No Vacancy" has been the theme of our last few days. We are getting so much ground covered only because we can't find places to stay and end up driving late to find something far enough down the road-- away enough from where everyone else wants to stay. Thus, Valleyview. We've been supremely grateful for the motel we stayed in last night. It is clean and warm (Canada is not warm right now) and we truly slept in this morning. It is almost 9am and we are about to find breakfast and hit the road again. We hope to be near Ft. Nelson tonight. We think we could be in Alaska in just a couple more days.
So I'm hoping for WiFi tonight, but I'll be happy with just a room at the rate we're going. If I can, I will write again tonight.

i miss you very much and i know i'm going to see you not very often but sometimes. i'm not really used to seeing you all the time though.

Sarah! I was so excited to check your blog today and realize you've been blogging your whole trip!! we have been thinking about ya'll and praying for you. It looks like your trip is fun and going well- i pray God will continue to bless it! Landon asked today if we could have Bible study so Charlotte could come to our house again...:(

Whoa . . . you guys are getting really near the Summit! It wouldn't surprise me at all if there was a "vacant room" in THAT establishment! Even with all the past stories, it might be a nice stay to a group of weary sojourners . . . and it could only add to your storytelling of this family adventure for years to come. And, hey, the restaurant might be open and you could finally learn if the Summit actually does have the best cinnamon buns along the AlCan!
We enjoy reading your posts each day. Seeing pics and reading the descriptions of your adventures have been a real blessing! Give Charlotte and Liam great big hugs. Know, that like many, we are praying morning, noon, and night for you. Oodles of love to you.
