I wish I had some pictures of the crystals to post, and although we do have pictures of the crystals, they are not fit to post. We have a few friends who could have done done justice to the crystals with their cameras, but we lack that kind of skill. So, Carrie, Marie, or Casey, how do you go into a dark cave and take brilliant pictures of crystals? What would you have done with your cameras?
This picture of Charlotte with the ranger is of her receiving her junior ranger badge. Each junior ranger candidate is given a little booklet of questions and activities to fill out from the tour. Upon completion of the book and a little interview with the ranger, the candidate has earned a ranger badge. Andy, the ranger in the picture, said he liked Charlotte's answer to why you shouldn't leave anything in the cave: "Because it's rude." Charlotte has proudly worn her badge ever since the tour. Every rest stop we make Charlotte frantically searches her back seat piles for her badge. She wants to wear it everywhere and tells people as often as she can that she is a junior ranger.

That's an easy one...
At the gift shop on the way out, pick out post card of your favorite crystal, take a picture of that in the daylight, crop to the size you want and voila! ready to post.
ha. just kidding. (but it would work)
